Mayme Bodien Family Makes Memorial Donation

Lifelong area resident Mayme Oja Bodien, pictured with daughter Helen Bodien Andresen, died earlier this year. In a letter accompanying a $600 donation from Mayme's estate Helen writes, "One of my mother's first jobs was as a librarian which was located in the Max School. She was a great proponent of reading and education. She maintained an interest in wild flowers and birds. Perhaps part of her money could purchase books on species which are indigenous to this area."

The Eagleview Community Foundation will honor Helen's book request and use the remainder for general operating expenses at the Community Technology Center/Library.
