Spring Will Be Here Soon!
Spring and summer may seem like a long way off, but the time to plan programming is now. What a difference a year makes. This year we know we will be open next year, and many years after that, so we can start scheduling in time for publication in the Community Ed Spring Calendar. Due date for input is January 31, so if you have ideas or talents you want to share post a comment or click on "contact the foundation" for contact numbers and e-mail addresses.
Interest is building at other schools to bring the FIRST Lego League robotics competition to our area. We'll have an organizational meeting at Eagleview in April.
May will see the opening of the Community Technology Center. Watch this space for Open House and class information.
Also in May-If you plan to be out on the lake for fishing opener either go late, or very early, so you can be at the first annual Foundation Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser. We'll have pancakes with a variety of syrups and toppings, sausage, juice and coffee. Check back for location, time and price.
Mark your calendars now for the awesome annual Pow Wow for Youth. June 20-21. You'll notice that's a month later than in the past. Gary Charwood says the new date was selected to improve the chances for some warmth and sunshine.
Summer Reading will return in July, and this year we'll have some guest bloggers writing about their favorite books.
